CALL FOR PAPERS ICNNAI'2006 4th International Conference on Neural Networks and Artificial Intelligence 30 May - 2 June, 2006, Brest, Belarus http://iit.bstu.by/icnnai-2006.html PAPER SUBMISSION DEADLINE: Wednesday, January 20, 2006 SCOPE and AIM: A realization of Artificial Intelligence (AI) by Neural Networks (NN) might sound somewhat of an old but will be an ever lasting research area. This conference aims to provide a forum for discussion, debate and brainstorm among researchers interested in these two fields, in an interactive atmosphere. In the process, we expect collaboration among those with complementary ideas. The conference will feature plenary talks by invited keynote speakers (now under negotiation),invited sessions, and hopefully a panel discussion. We solicit papers of the latest techniques and achievements from experimental, computational, theoretical as well as engineering aspect in all areas of Neural Networks and Artificial Intelligence. TOPICS: The conference covers all topics in Neural Networks and Artiricial Intelligence. We dare not to use a cliche --- "including but not limited to" Here, let us show just a few examples - Brain-Inspired Information Technology; - Real Systems in Artificial Intelligence; - Learning and Memory; - Robotics --- Sensory systems and Motor Controls; - Robotics --- Cognition, Emotion and Behavior; - Knowledge Extraction or Recovery in databases; - Artificial Life. Or their fusion. Of course, the list is far from exhaustive nor exclusive, which are also cliche though. The papers must be in English and should follow the guidelines in the authors instructions which can be downloaded at http://www.springer.de/comp/lncs/authors.html where you can find Style file for LATEX, and skelton of MS-WORD The maximum length of papers is 12 pages. Receipt of submitted paper will be notified within a couple of working days after the deadline. All submissions will be reviewed by the respective program committees. Papers will be selected based on their originality, timeliness, significance, relevance and clarity of presentation (forgive me a cliche again) Please notice that at least one of the authors of an accepted paper must register for the conference and present the paper. To keep the workshop lively we intend to keep the time of individual presentations efficiently. We plan a 20 minutes of oral presentation for accepted paper. Accepted papers in all categories will be published in the proceeding which will be available at the conference. VENUE: The city of Brest is a stone throw's away from the border to Poland. REGISTRATION: the conference will keep a very low registration fees while nevertheless offering outstanding ambiance including banquet and small excursion. The support to students from CIS countries will be considered.
