CALL FOR PAPERS THE 4-TH INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON NEURAL NETWORKS AND ARTIFICIAL INTELIGENCE (ICNNAI'2006) May 25-27, 2006, Brest, Belarus See also http://neuro.bstu.by/icnnai-2006.html The conference will take place at the Brest Technische University, Brest, Belarus, from September 25th to September 30th, 2005. The two previous symposia in Montreal and Kyoto, which brought together researchers in neurobiology, biomechanics, neural computation, and robotics, were very exciting and fruitful events. or ICNNAI'2006 is the fourth International Conference on Neural Network and Artificial Intelligence. The conference will be held from 10 to 12 May, 2006 in Brest, Belarus. Following the success of our previous conferences --- 1999 in Brest, 2001 in Minsk, and 2003 in Minsk growth of interest in the field, the main goal of EvoMUSART 2006 is to bring together researchers who are using Evolutionary Computation for artistic tasks, providing the opportunity to promote, present and discuss ongoing work in the area. of the EuroGP&EvoCOP2006 event. Accepted papers will be presented orally at the workshop and included in the EuroGP2006 conference proceedings, published by Springer Verlag in the Lecture Notes in Computer Science series. Organizing a satellite workshop of the Congress of the Italian Association for Artificial Intelligence (AI*IA), whose attendance has been spreading through the years well beyond the national boundaries, is an excellent opportunity to start what we hope will become a traditional appointment in the EC calendar. Despite the workshop focus on national activity, contributions from researchers from any country are welcome: science has no boundaries. Examples of general areas of interest include: chemical informatics, bioinformatics, computational Examples of specific areas of interest include: protein structure and function prediction; molecular simulations and Topics of interest include but are not limited to: (as many cfps claim) Prospective papers should be unpublished and present novel, fundamental research offering innovative contributions either from a methodological viewpoint or from an application perspective. A submitted paper may be either theoretical or experimental; research surveys will also be considered. New, unusual, and hybrid approaches are particularly encouraged. Both theoretical (new algorithms, analyses, etc.) and applied (implementations, applications, etc.) papers to management, information systems, knowledge discovery, finance, operations research, logistics, and industrial applications are solicited. The special session seeks to bring a diverse group of soft computing practitioners together in order to provide an ideal platform for exchange of discussion on the recent research developments related to this field. It is hoped that the session will provide a greater awareness of the potential and possible areas of application that are becoming apparent across various design sectors. SUBMISSION OF PAPERS: Authors are invited to submit complete and original papers. Papers submitted should not have been previously published in any forum, nor be under review for any journal or other conference. All submitted papers will be refereed for quality, correctness, originality and relevance. All accepted papers will be published in official proceedings with an ISBN number by a major international publisher, and be available at the conference. Manuscripts should include an abstract and be limited to 16 pages in single spaced and single column format. Submissions should include the title, author(s), author's affiliation, e-mail address, fax number and postal address. In the case of multiple authors, an indication of which author is responsible for correspondence and preparing the camera ready paper should also be included. Electronic submission is strongly encouraged. Preferred file formats are PDF (.pdf) or Postscript (.ps). IMPORTANT DATES: Submission deadline: November 4, 2005 Notification of acceptance: December 12, 2005 Camera ready papers due: January 9, 2006 Conference: April 10-12, 2006 we hope very much that you will be able to join us in York to make IPCAT 2005 a great success.
