(Sent on 12 October 2006) ================================================================== Dear Bob, Kurosh, and Vladimir, Thanks to Anatoly's kindly offer, we have a chance to publish a speciall issue on our conference ICNNAI-2006. Yersterday, I got an e-mail from Anatoly about the issue which is planned to be appeared in the journal of which he is the editor in chief. This e-mail is sending from me to the other editors of the issue, that is, Bob, Kurosh and Vladimir who I think already agreed to be. Please, you kindly read the below, and reply with your comments, if any, by Monday, 16 October. Sorry for this, urgent procedure, but I am going to Poland for a conference there leaving here on Tuesday, and going to stay there until 21 October. That's why. In case of no objection from you, I will send this information to the possible 13 authors, asking if they agree to submit their ICNNAI paper on Monday after noon. Please, forgive me this, but I think at least a Month will be needed for a high quality submission. With Best Regards, Akira, (1) Editors for the Issue: As planned, the editors for the issue will be: Vladimir GOROVKO, Robert HIROMOTO, Akira IMADA, and Kurosh MADANI (alphabetical order of the family name). (2) Which issue? The name of the journal is, as you already know, the "International Scientific Journal of Computing" from Ukraine. The special issue will be in the Issue3, Volume-5 of the journal which is planned to be published in December, 2006, according to Anatoly. (3) Space: The space assigned for us is 140-150 pages. (4) Selection: Following the formula of one-author-one-paper-principle which is not a very good strategy in general but just a compromise. In July, Kurosh and I preliminary picked up the following 13 author's submission papers. Diego Bendersky et al. (Argentine) Alexander Doudkin et al. (Belarus) Colin M. Frayn (UK) Vladimir Golovko (Belarus) Robert Hiromoto (US) Akira Imada (Belarus) Kurosh Madani (France) Jean-Jacques Mariage (France) Poramate Manoonpong et al. (Germany) Heinz Muehlenbein (Germany) Rauf Sadykhov et al.(Belarus) Khalid Saeed (Poland) Volodymyr Turchenko et al. (Ukranine) (Again according to the alphabetical order of the family name of the first author.) (5) Camera-ready due: Anatoly suggested the camera-ready due should be November 25 (Sat) or 26 (Sun) at the latest. He also suggested, "You may ... conduct the additional own reviewing of papers if it's necessary." For this purpose, just in case, I want one additonal week. So, I think the submission deadline might be <<19 (Sun) November>> (6) Editorial Introduction. We have to prepare for the 2-3 pages of Edotorial Instruction. The due is planned on 30 November. What about the following process? I will write the draft and send it to you by 23 November.\ Then you edit/add and resend to me again. (7) Photo etc. Also "our scanned photo, affiliation, postal address, e-mail, web address(URL) to put it in the end of the Editorial" are requiered 14 out of 35 papers === selected paper (12 + 5) ===== (1) Heinz Muehlenbein (Germany) "Artificial Intelligence and Neural Networks: The Legacy of Alan Turing and John von Neumann."
