-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Joaquin Sitte ... j.sitte@servusrobotics.net title: Could I ask two favors of you for our conference? Dear Joaquin, It's been really a long time no see no hear, but I hope you are doing very well as always. How was the AMiRE-2009 in Korea? During the conference, since I stayed in Osaka just one hour and a half away from Incheon, I had planned to visit the conference site, not as a participant but just to see you all. Unfortunately, however, my mother passed away at the age of 88 this Summer, and I lost an energy to make it. Anyway, I am sure the conference was very successful. By the way, we now are struggling to prepare for our conference "The International Conference on Neural Network and Artificial Intelligence (ICNNAI-2010)" which will be held on 1-4 June 2010 hear in Brest, Belarus. This is the 5th one in a series with the same name. And I am making my best so that the conference will evolve to the one worthy to be called real international conference rather than a birds-of-a-feather-meeting as it was in the previous ones. So, I want to ask a favor of you. Firstly, could I ask you to join the conference as a keynote speaker? One of my strategies to collect high quality presentations is, by a couple of special sessions. Then, the second favor I want to ask you is, if you kindly organize a special session like a mini version of the AMiRE-symposium. I myself plan to organize two such sessions. The tentative titles are: - Is artificial intelligence (by neural network) really intelligent? - Building a bridge to biological neural network. I have already a couple of candidate speakers on the 2nd topic. Please feel free to frankly say NO. I know you have a very busy schedule, and as such, I have hesitated to ask you this, but please forgive me to try it. We'd be very happy if you accept to be our keynote guest, AND/OR, hopefully AND, to be an organizer of an innovative and stimulating special session. You might see the CFP by visiting at http://icnnai.bstu.by/icnnai-2010.html. Cordially yours, Akira, --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
