Our plan to publish the special issue of the ICNNAI-2010 in the Journal "Computing" is going on well, too. After the query we sent on 21 September, we now have 10 candidate authors (plus one more, hopefully). Now please let us notice you the following instructions for the submission. (1) Maximum page allowed will be 16 pages. (2) Camera-ready due will be 26 December 2010. Though we have still two months by the due date, we must remind you that 'time flies like an arrow' as a saying goes. In order to save time, please send your draft as a final camera ready. In case of no problem in your submission, we will send your manuscript to the journal as it is. Otherwise, we would ask you to re-edit it by 09 January 2011, Sunday, midnight, though we don't expect this latter case. Also please recall our policy is all the papers should be excelentely extended one, not an almost similar one however its original version might be well done. (3)Authors' kit is at http://computingonline.net/eng/kits.htm Please, feel free to ask us any question about it. Expecting a wonderful extended version of your ICNNAI-2010 paper. Best regards, Akira, ================================================================================================== At this time we solicit short (~150 words) abstracts for publication in the BICA 2010 Proceedings by IOS Press and for presentation at BICA 2010 (http://bicasymposium.com : November 12-14, Washington DC, collocated with AAAI FSS; "BICA" stands for Biologically Inspired Cognitive Architectures, i.e. inspired by the human brain-mind). This is an opportunity for those who missed the paper submission deadline. If you are interested, please email your abstract simultaneously to samsonovich@cox.net and kamillarj@gmail.com together with the title, keywords, author names, affiliations, addresses and contact information, not later than within a week. ... All contributors will be listed as co-authors of this publication, provided they agree. ... All you need for this to happen is to prepare a column describing your architecture following instructions at the above site and email the resultant xls file to me (samsonovich@cox.net, alexei@bicasymposium.com) within 2 weeks. ... . Please notify me if you plan to bring a robot, unless you did so already. I am looking forward to an extremely synergistic and productive BICA meeting. (Visit at http://computingonline.net/eng/index.php about the journal.) We accepted the offer, and currently, we plan it in the first issue of the journal in 2011. Usually, whenever we are writing an article, we have to stop elaborating the manuscript because of deadline. So this offer would be a good opportunity to further elaborate our already published papers. Hence, this time, our policy of selecting papers for the special issue will be, HOW THE PAPER HAS EXTENDED ELABORATELY, rather than its quality. Of course quality is one of the most important factors, but if the version already published in the proceedings has no room to be elaborated, there would be no reason to re-publish the same version even if it was a high quality one. Now we are sending this e-mail to a number of selected authors who took part in the ICNNAI-2010. If you agree our above mentioned policy, PLEASE LET ME KNOW BY E-MAIL NOT LATER THAN WITHIN A WEEK. (to the address akira-i@brest-state-tech-univ.org) Then I will send those who replied positively, a more detailed information. Otherwise simply take no notice, please. The planned submission due is the end of November, and one week later we will notify our decision on its inclusion to the issue or not. So mid-December might be a final camera-ready due.
