International Neural Network Society (INNS) Special Interest Group: INNS Belarus
The INNS/Belarus was formed to support and encourage research in the broad field of neural computation, to provide worldwide exchange of ideas and to foster dialogue between researchers.
The SIG secretariat is hosted by the Laboratory of Artificial Neural Networks (LANN) of the Brest State Technical University, Brest, Republic of Belarus.
Aims and scope of activity:
  • Promotion of neural network research and cooperation between scientists from Belarus and International Neural Networks Society (INNS)
  • Integration of scientists, engineers and students working in the area of artificial neural networks
  • Organization of conferences, meetings and seminars
  • Cooperation with other professional societies in the country, with similar organizations from abroad and with international organizations devoted to promotion of the neural network research
  • Inspiration, simulation, organization and management of joint research and education programmers related to the field of neural networks
  • Exchange of information among Neural Network researches
History:
The Belarus SIG of INNS was formed during the International Conference on Neural Networks and Artificial Intelligence (ICNNAI'99) on October, 1999.
The establishment of the Belarus SIG of INNS was initiated and facilitated by Dr. Harold Szu, former President and current member of Governing Board, INNS.
